Penny Washers
Penny washers are available in a variety of sizes and at competitive prices. Also known as repair or mudguard washers. They have a much larger surface area than many other washers with the outside diameter being much larger than the inside diameter.
This increased surface area helps spread the load and reduces the stress when tightening, especially in softer materials such as timber. The larger surface area of the penny washer also helps if the head of your fixings is not much bigger than the holes.
Available in a range of sizes and in A2 stainless steel or bright zinc plated, with bulk discounts available across the range.
