What are hexagon nuts?

Hexagon nuts, which are also know as hex nuts or hex full nuts are one of the most common nuts available and used across numerous industries. Being six sided with and internal thread they are commonly used with a corresponding bolt with a similar thread. The hexagonal shape makes them easy to use with conventional spanners and sockets which adds to their versatility.

What are hex nuts used for?

Hex nuts are predominantly used to join various material together in conjunction with a bolt that has the same thread. After the bolt is inserted into the holes made in the material being used, the nut is then fastened onto the bolt and tightened resulting in the clamping pressure of the nut and bolt holding the material together.
