Timco Solo Chipboard & Woodscrews are premium fully threaded woodscrews designed for fast, reliable fixing into softwood, chipboard, MDF and other man-made boards.

Designed with a double countersunk head, Pozi PZ2 drive, 40° deep single thread, and a 25° sharp point. A combination that see’s these screws providing excellent pull-out resistance, reduced head shear and quick installation.

Supplied in a box of 200 pieces and manufactured from carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish and wax lubrication, the screws drive more easily, require less torque and offer corrosion resistance for clean, dry, low-humidity internal environments.

What are Timco Solo Chipboard & Woodscrews used for?

They are designed for fixing timber, chipboard, MDF and other man-made boards, and can also be used in masonry when paired with suitable plastic wall plugs. 

Are these fully threaded?

Yes. The 4.0 x 40mm variety is fully threaded, providing maximum grip along the full fixing length. 

What screwdriver bit do I need?

These screws use a Pozi PZ2 drive and should be installed with a PZ2 screwdriver bit for the best fit and to reduce cam-out. 

Can these screws be used outdoors?

The zinc-plated finish is intended for clean, dry, low-humidity environments. For more exposed outdoor or coastal applications, screws with a higher corrosion-resistant coating is advised.

Why are the screws wax lubricated?

The wax coating reduces driving resistance, lowers installation torque, speeds up insertion and provides additional protection against corrosion. 

Can these screws be used with wall plugs?

Yes, they are suitable for fixing into masonry when used with an appropriately sized plastic wall plug.
